In-person therapy in Barrie and virtually across Ontario

Meet Your Therapist

Danielle Labranche, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Barrie, Ontario

Welcome! This is a space where your experiences are honored and your growth is supported.

I’m Danielle, a therapist who is committed to walking alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges with both compassion and clinical insight. I believe meaningful change begins in a relationship where you feel truly seen, heard, and safe.

Together, we will create a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear or judgement allowing for deeper self-understanding and authentic expression.

My approach is collaborative and grounded in both emotional awareness and practical support. I help clients build insight into their inner world while also developing tools to manage stress, process difficult experiences, and move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

You don’t have to carry everything on your own. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to support you in creating meaningful and lasting change.

Outside of my work, I find balance and restoration in nature, spending time hiking, biking, skiing, or kayaking. These moments help me stay grounded and connected, and they reflect the sense of balance and well-being I aim to support in my clients.

Expertise & Passion

With over 20 years of experience in the helping field, my work is grounded in both clinical expertise and a compassionate, human-first approach. I have supported children, teens, and adults across a variety of settings, including hospital-based care, community agencies, residential treatment, and private practice. My background also includes extensive experience in developmental services, supporting individuals with autism, dual diagnoses, and complex behavioural needs within multidisciplinary teams. This breadth of experience allows me to tailor therapy to your unique needs, experiences, and stage of life.

I hold both a Master and Bachelor of Social Work from Laurentian University, along with a Developmental Service Worker diploma from Loyalist College. As a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, I am committed to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.

I am a lifelong learner and regularly engage in ongoing training to provide evidence-based, effective care. My approach integrates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. I also incorporate Brainspotting and somatic-based approaches to support the connection between mind and body and promote nervous system regulation.

When working with children and youth, I incorporate play and art-based strategies to foster safety, expression, and emotional growth in developmentally appropriate ways.

Above all, my goal is to offer therapy that feels safe, collaborative, and meaningful—supporting not only symptom relief, but deeper healing, resilience, and lasting change.
